FDA Compliance & Regulatory Framework

Transparency with our customers, researchers, and regulators is a core principle of the new Amino Asylum. This page provides a clear account of the brand’s regulatory history, our current operating framework, and the measures we have implemented to strengthen compliance and accountability going forward.

We believe customers and researchers deserve straightforward information about the company they are purchasing from. We encourage you to read this page in full before making a purchase.

Our Regulatory History

What Happened in 2025

In June 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted an enforcement action involving the original Amino Asylum, including a search of its warehouse operations. This followed a period in which the previous ownership received FDA warning letters and, according to the subsequent record, failed to adequately address the agency’s concerns.

In December 2025, the original founders pleaded guilty to federal charges.

We do not seek to minimize or obscure this history. The actions and practices associated with the former ownership are part of the brand’s regulatory record, and we believe our customers deserve to have that history presented openly.

Among the practices identified under the former operation were:

  • Marketing research compounds using language that implied human therapeutic use.

  • Marketing or distributing products in ways that raised concerns regarding their status as unapproved drugs.

  • Using trademarked pharmaceutical names in marketing materials.

  • Offering prescription-only medications alongside research compounds without appropriate authorization.

These historical practices are not part of the operating framework described below.

Our Current Regulatory Framework

Under new ownership, Amino Asylum has implemented a compliance-focused operating structure designed to maintain clear boundaries between research products and products intended for human use.

Product Classification

Products offered by Amino Asylum are marketed and labeled as research compounds.

Our product descriptions, packaging, and marketing materials are structured to avoid therapeutic claims or representations that products are intended for human consumption or treatment.

Labeling & Documentation

Our labeling framework is designed to provide clear and traceable product information, including:

  • Accurate compound identification.

  • Batch- or lot-specific information.

  • Purity information supported by applicable Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

  • A clear “For Research Use Only — Not for Human Consumption” designation.

  • Traceability between products and their corresponding testing documentation.

  • No therapeutic, disease-treatment, or human-use claims.

We recognize that appropriate labeling is only one component of responsible regulatory compliance. Accordingly, we continuously review our practices as applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance evolve.

Regulatory Counsel & Compliance Review

We retain outside regulatory counsel with experience in FDA and regulated-product matters.

Material business decisions—including product introductions, labeling, advertising, and marketing content—are subject to compliance review where appropriate.

Our objective is to identify potential regulatory issues before products or promotional materials are introduced, rather than relying solely on corrective action after publication or sale.

Monitoring Regulatory Developments

The regulatory environment surrounding peptides, compounding, research compounds, and related products continues to evolve.

We monitor relevant federal regulatory developments and adjust our policies, documentation, and product offerings when necessary.

For example, developments announced by federal agencies in 2026 concerning the regulatory treatment of certain peptides and compounding access demonstrate why ongoing monitoring is essential. Regulatory status can depend on the specific substance, intended use, formulation, source, and applicable federal and state requirements.

We therefore do not treat any regulatory classification as permanent. Our catalog and compliance practices are reviewed as the applicable regulatory landscape changes.

Independent Third-Party Testing

Independent testing is an important part of our quality and documentation program.

Each batch of product is submitted for testing by an independent laboratory before being offered for sale. Applicable testing documentation is made available through the relevant product page and identifies information such as:

  • The laboratory performing the analysis.

  • Testing date.

  • Product or batch identification.

  • Reported purity and analytical findings.

  • The applicable Certificate of Analysis.

Our goal is to make testing information accessible so that researchers can independently review the documentation associated with the products they purchase.

We also encourage customers and researchers to conduct additional independent testing when appropriate. Third-party results can provide an additional layer of verification and accountability beyond our own published documentation.

Our Commitment Going Forward

The new Amino Asylum recognizes that regulatory compliance is an ongoing responsibility—not a one-time certification or marketing statement.

Our approach is built around four principles:

Transparency. We will openly communicate our regulatory history and provide access to relevant product documentation.

Clear boundaries. We will maintain a clear distinction between research-use products and therapeutic or human-use products.

Independent verification. We will continue using third-party testing and making applicable analytical documentation available.

Ongoing oversight. We will continue monitoring regulatory developments and consulting qualified regulatory professionals as our business and the applicable legal framework evolve.

We cannot change the history of the former operation. What we can do is be transparent about it and establish a different standard for how the business operates today.

Our commitment is to conduct our operations responsibly, document our products accurately, and continuously evaluate our practices against applicable regulatory requirements.
